I
developed a passion for drawing and making in my youth and it seemed the
natural thing to study a foundation course in Fine Art (Eastbourne College)
This
led to a three year degree course in sculpture at Sheffield University.
After graduating I chose to do an apprenticeship in architectural stone
carving at Weymouth College, Dorset
My
first job was with Treasure & Sons of Ludlow where I worked on many
historic churches, houses and monuments including: Compton Verney, Hill
Court, Berrington Hall, Richards Castle Church & Hampton Court.
Moving
to Manchester, I began working as a freelance stonecarver with companies
including Mather & Ellis, Stoneguard, Cameron Stonemasonry & Stone
Central. Restoration projects include: Bury Parish Church, Bolton Clock
Tower, Great Northern Railway Buildings Manchester & Bury War Memorial.
I
now have my own workshop in south Manchester
